And Wha-Happens?
I am just about to head out for a 9 hour sleep. That's right bih-chuzz.
Alright so tomorrow is the "opening" day for our Chekhov's, and what better way to usher in 2 straight days of Chekovian lifestyle than with Wild Honey? Well the other option would be Cherry Orchard, which I'm sure is smashing. But, speaking from experience, Wild Honey is the best Chekhov play I've ever acted in. (think about it).
Today at rehearsal, we did a cue to cue, hung some drapes, got dust ALL in the air, worked out transitions, thanks to a certain Sofya and her certain Jewish music, then we did our show as if it were an old radio broadcast. We were up in Rm. 266 and took a spoon, hung it from the ceiling and proceeded to talk into it as though it were a mic. It went really well! The run was hilarious and we shaved another 15 minutes off of the play. Crazy stuff. All giggles though...especially when the cast members who are double cast got to say their lines at the same time. There is nothing like facing off with 2 Platonovs or 2 Anna Petrovnas (Platonoi and Petrovnoi, if you will), and then hearing 2 Osips be DOUBLE as creepy. The run was amazing, but I just wish that we could have actually been able to run the play in the lab with the new configurations and the curtains. It'll be fun trying to do entrances in the dark, let me tell you.
Alright, all this blogging is taking away from my sleeping.
Omg, sleep.
My One and Boo I'll see you both tomorrow and I'm so excited!!
Dee Dee, break a leg baby. I know you will. NO LAUGHING. (Piss).
Jay, I am so excited to see you take the stage. I'll be the one sleeping. (J/k but a pat on the back for me).
I think I can.
I think I can.
I think I can.
(You'll get it more when you see the play).
Not scared, just excited.
2 shots. Bring it, dutch blitches.
Just in case you were curious.

Any possibility of reviving the play(s) at the end of April?
Cause I'd sure like to see them.
Make a video for me. Or at least mental pictures that you can describe to me later. Deal?
Deal.
I love you Roast Duckling. You were fabulous (it took me three tries to write that sentence, hungover?). A compliment from my uncle brian = stupendous. You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on stage and a natural performer. Not to mention greatest DD and swing dancer ever. Love love ove you.
Didn't someone record the plays? Because I want to get a copy of the tape. Anyway, thank you for the comment. I loved working with you so much on Wild Honey. It was a fabulous experiance that I will never forget. Yay for fun times, getting yelled at, and laughing as hard as we could. Cheers to THEATRE (inserts chin thrust and leg kick)! love and hugs
p.s. hope you come out tonight
