And The Times, They Are A-Changin'
Well, I sure as heck did post right after my birthday...a very long post at that...and then the system crashed and my post was gone with the wind. So, I'm going to summarize my birthday as best I can, so as to not have to write a huge blog again.
April 7th, 2005...Jew is 19.
Morning: approx. time - 8:16am
Location: my bedroom
I wake up, late as per usual, and immediately start my morning routine with the nice teeth brushing action. So, I am doing so, minding my own business, looking horrible because I had just woken up, and I went into my room. There was a huge butterfly balloon and a tray of food in my once empty and dark room. As I stand there looking and thinking "aw my dad is so sweet", who pops out from behind my bed but Daneel and Leah?! I couldn't move! They both say that the expression on my face was priceless, and I bet it was...I was just staring and I made no noise whatsoever. So here are these two gorgeous girls, and here I am staring back at them in Dee's Redman shirt and our A&F pajama pants with my hair all poofy. Best way to start a birthday ever. So we got ready, and after deciding that I looked like the winter Nazi on such a beautiful day, I changed into more summery clothes. Leah went ahead and got us coffee while Dee did my makeup.
Still Morning: approx. time - 9:37am (late for English)
Location: GrantMac...our English class
So Dee and I run in late, only to be greeted by the class interrupting our teacher to yell "Happy Birthday!" to me as we scurried into the class! There I was greeted by a huge hug from my Blue Jay, and AWESOME coffee, courtesy of Leah, and a brief discussion with our English teacher.
STILL Morning: approx. time - 11:01am
Location: Doreen's class
I can't really remember what happened here. OH we watched a movie called Happy Days (no, not Sunday, Monday...not THOSE Happy Days) and it was really boring but all we did was sit so that was ok. Yep. Glad I filled you all in on that one. Moving on...
Afternoon!: approx time - ....afternoon (this next section carries on for a while but we'll say that it starts at 12:42pm)
Location: Tim Horton's and then back at GrantMac
So my Blue Jay treated me to a birthday lunch at Timmy Ho's, a very good lunch I might add, comprised of a doughnut, sandwich and coffee. Then we headed back to school where we saw Blake bolt into the school ahead of us after he heard us in the parkade. It was hilarious. Then, I went downstairs and saw Blake and Cole standing with birthday presents! I was very impressed, especially with the bow. An awesome collage of random pictures of all of us, followed by the best poem EVER entitled A Jewish Poem For Our Favorite Jew (they even snuck in some yiddish!! and it RHYMES!). Oh and not to mention a killer picture that Cole put on my locker that was signed by the both of them. Very hilarious. Such awesome presents.
Afternoon: approx time - 2:32pm
Location: Ken Brown's Vocal Masque Rehearsal (a.k.a. the tap room)
A birthday song, followed by vinettes that were very hilarious, followed by a reading of the amazing birthday poem from Cole and Blake. Yep, that was that class. Moving on again...(so much for a short blog huh?)
Afternoon: approx. time - 6:32pm
Location: tap room again for Ragtime rehearsal
Yep, we had rehearsal for a long time...I sang my song a couple times, got sung Happy Birthday from my buddies and had a fun time as per usual.
Night time: approx. time - 10:43pm
Location: my house (no I will not give out my address)
Home for a SCAVENGER HUNT and cake with my family to end an amazing day.
Thank you so much to everyone who called (or called late, haha), who wrote emails and who made my day so so awesome. My 19th birthday definitley rocked.
Just like that tune,
simple and clear
I've come to hear
New Music.
Just in case you were curious.

I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!
I pull out my phone to check the time, and I see 'April 8th.2005'. I FREAK out in the hallway cause I missed calling you on your birthday, and I muster up the courage to face my mistake and call you, only to get your answering machine and feel like a TOTAL moron for forgeting to call you earlier...
I don't even know what I said in the message. As long as it made you smile, then I guess that's ok.
It sounds like you had a most excellent birthday. That's the important thing.
Love you.
Sounds like you had an awesome birthday.
I hope you survive busy season!! :)
