When Another Midnight

Know your limits. Know other people's as well. Don't force anything upon someone. Don't force anything upon yourself; you feel how you feel, so let them feel how they feel. It's not always impossible to make someone feel differently. It can be boring. It can be tedious. It can feel like a waste of time...and it can be.
Over the past few months, I've learned. What, you may ask, have I learned? People aren't always who they seem to be. People have sides to them that you have never fully seen before. People have sides to them that you never expected. Opinions of people can change in a heartbeat.
I'm getting tired of being the negotiator. The way in which I play that role has slightly shifted, yes, but it's still there. It's boring.
It's not in my hands anymore. I will welcome it, but I will not force it. Take it, it's yours.

Nine closed on Saturday.
As You Like It closed on Sunday.
Our year is closing very soon.
I miss it already.
Just in case you were curious.

Be A Singer, Be A Lover

Opening night [well, "last night" I guess because I'm posting early Saturday morning] went very well - a great house, great energy and lots of love from Tim Ryan to his daughter in the Green Room - that was so sweet.
In terms of other life experiences, one door has closed, but a few others have opened. Now there are some new friendships, getting back to the basics and getting back to no more tension. All of these things are quite refreshing, which in some ways could be looked at as odd and quite fast paced. But it's not in this situation for some reason. In this particular situation, this all feels very normal and right on track. I'm not surprised by the reactions and I'm not phased by them either - to each his/her own I think.

Jake is barking to go outside.
